Zavoisky Award |
The International Zavoisky Award 2009Professor Daniella Goldfarb (Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel) is distinguished for her contribution to pulsed high-field ENDOR methodology and applications to metalloproteins and zeolites.
Professor Daniella Goldfarb Professor Daniella Goldfarb works at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot (Israel). At present she is Chair of the Council of Professors of the Weizmann Institute. She is Vice-President of the Groupement AMPERE. In 2000-2003 Daniella Goldfarb was President of the European Federation of EPR Groups. Daniella Goldfarb was awarded the International EPR Society Silver medal in Chemistry in 2002 году and Bruker Lecture Prize in 2007. In 2008 Daniella Goldfarb was elected Fellow of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance. Scientific interests of Daniella Goldfarb are focused on the development and applications of electron paramagnetic resonance and electron-nuclear double resonance to the problems in biophysics and materials science. The objects under study are metalloproteins and mesoporous materials. The various EPR experiments provide information on the close environment of the paramagnetic metal center. Her studies of mechanisms of mesoporous materials on both the molecular and mesoscale levels, and their correlation leading to a more efficient design of mesoporous materials are well known. |
